Resume

Full-stack product engineer. Four years in software engineering, since 2022, shipping production software across frontend, backend, mobile, and AI-assisted product surfaces at early-stage companies, after earlier IT and field-operations work. Most recently one of two founding engineers at Cendra, where I rebuilt the web application as its primary author and independently shipped both native mobile apps. Based in Ankara, Türkiye — open to UK relocation.

Experience

to Present

LILAFounder

Solo-authored proactive AI assistant — a voice-first mobile product that reads signals from email, calendar, and workspace to decide when something is worth surfacing, and stays quiet otherwise.

  • Sole author across the entire codebase — a pnpm/Turbo monorepo spanning a Node/TypeScript server, a Python/FastAPI AI service, a React Native mobile client and a Next.js site on Cloudflare Workers (~9,500 commits since February 2026; 9,550 at the 4 September 2026 count).
  • Designed a 12-check delivery gate and a governed decision pipeline that scores whether a signal is worth interrupting the user for before deciding what to say.
  • Built an evaluation harness that runs in CI and scores response quality, including a "should this stay silent" dimension via LLM-as-judge.
  • Took the product to store-ready in sixteen languages — public site live in closed beta at hellolila.app, a 1.0 prepared in App Store Connect and a Google Play internal track, priced in 171 regions — and deliberately held the release until the proactive engine met its own bar.

CendraFounding EngineerSan Francisco & London

One of two founding engineers at an early-stage AI platform automating guest communication and property operations for short-term rental operators (San Francisco & London), backed by a $1M seed round led by Revo Capital (announced February 2026).

  • Held primary ownership of the web and mobile product surfaces as one of two founding engineers — 84.7% of surviving frontend code by sampled git blame, and every commit ever made to the iOS and Android projects.
  • Rebuilt the young web codebase as its primary author into a 93-component design system spanning 27 product areas and 13 locales including Arabic right-to-left, and released both native apps across Capacitor, Firebase push, and over-the-air updates (React 18, TypeScript, Vite, Redux Toolkit).
  • Built the surfaces operators run the product through — Agent Hub configuration, knowledge base and rule authoring, onboarding, the unified inbox, workflow builder, scheduling, task management and payment flows — and contributed to the channel and PMS connection screens.
  • Built the product layer for the company's AI capabilities and the transport beneath it (AG-UI, server-sent events, SignalR), integrating the team's LangGraph services and RAG pipelines into the product.
  • Acted as the integration point at the production gate as the contributor base widened, carrying multi-author frontend changes into production — 377 releases coordinated across four repositories under 17 runbooks I wrote.
  • Owned the notification and real-time system end to end (.NET, SignalR, server-sent events, Firebase Cloud Messaging), cutting unnecessary push traffic by an estimated ~19,000 notifications/day, extrapolated from a production telemetry sample.

ReadyFlyFounding Engineer (part-time, equity)London

Maya — an AI career agent: candidates don't apply, they get interview invites, matched through a dual-agent hiring network (London-registered, distributed team).

  • Made the first commit to the web application and went on to author roughly three quarters of it (157 of 209 commits) — the substance behind "founding frontend engineer."
  • Built the candidate experience of Maya, ReadyFly's AI career agent — conversational onboarding and the job-pitch review flow through which candidates approve interview invites.
  • Implemented the dual-agent landing readyfly.io serves today, including its seven-state auto-playing demo of a role being matched and an interview confirmed.
  • Enforced GDPR/ePrivacy consent technically — no non-essential script executes before consent — without a paid consent-management platform.
  • Built the live interview surface of the earlier hiring-platform MVP: real-time video over LiveKit, an embedded Monaco code editor, and proctoring running concurrently in one session.
  • Contributed to the FastAPI API, including the microservice decomposition separating CV ingestion, authentication and profile services, and integrated the team's AI matching into the product surfaces.

  • Worked as a fullstack developer across ATS (vehicle management), GTS (task management), a real-estate system and several sub-projects — one team carrying five to six concurrent projects.
  • Operated inside kanban/scrum cadences with per-sprint performance scoring — the period that turned discipline from a habit into a method.
  • Built scalable frontend systems with React and Next.js, including PWA capabilities.
  • Designed and implemented backend services with .NET Core using clean architecture principles.
  • Integrated external services and APIs, including Google services and third-party libraries.

Interno Security SystemsFounding Engineer (volunteer)

Volunteer AI and machine-learning work alongside full-time roles, on Interfarm — Interno's closed vertical-farming R&D venture at Ankara University Teknopark, funded under TÜBİTAK's competitive 1501 industrial R&D programme (Digital Agriculture call).

  • Named in the funded proposal as the project's Data Scientist — the only person listed against its AI development, machine-learning and algorithm work.
  • Built the fuzzy-logic control layer that decides the growing module's climate, nutrient and lighting behaviour (Python, with membership functions modelled in MATLAB), and built the browser-based HTML5 operator application end to end.
  • Worked against a Raspberry Pi automation unit per module, CANBUS on the unit and MQTT off it, into a Linux server running SQL Server, Python and Node-RED.
  • The company reports the proposal ranked first among roughly 300 applications in its call — a company-reported figure, not one I verified.
  • Built machine learning pipelines using Python, NumPy, Pandas, and Scikit-learn.

Founding AI Engineer @ Cendra

via LinkedIn · July 2026

I had the pleasure of working closely with Efe at Cendra, where he took end-to-end ownership of the product experience across web and mobile while contributing significantly to backend integrations, real-time systems, and product architecture.

As the engineer responsible for Cendra's core AI services, I worked with Efe extensively on bringing LangGraph-based agents, RAG pipelines, and AI-driven workflows into the user-facing product. He had a strong ability to understand the behavior and constraints of complex AI systems and translate them into experiences that were intuitive, reliable, and genuinely useful for users. Our work often crossed the boundaries between AI, frontend, backend, and real-time infrastructure, and Efe was consistently collaborative and solution-oriented throughout that process.

What impressed me most was the breadth of his ownership. He was not simply implementing frontend requirements; he approached the product as a whole, thinking carefully about architecture, UX, integrations, reliability, and how individual engineering decisions affected the broader system. He could take an ambiguous product requirement, work through the technical trade-offs, and carry it all the way to a production-ready experience across web and mobile.

Efe is an exceptionally capable and dependable engineer with a strong product mindset and a genuine sense of ownership. I would highly recommend him to any team looking for an engineer who can bridge product and engineering, take responsibility for complex systems, and consistently turn ideas into polished, production-ready software.

I worked closely with Efe during our time at Cendra. It was a pleasure working with him and seeing the impact he made at the company.

What impresses me most about Efe is the way he works—taking full ownership of every task and attending to every single detail. Always keeping product development and the delivery of the best user experience in mind makes him a perfect team member.

It is highly valuable that he develops work plans by prioritizing matters such as customer requests from business units and urgent actions requiring attention, and that he is able to collaborate effectively with those business units.

He is a reliable and professional teammate whom I can recommend with confidence. If you are looking for someone to take your product to the next level, Efe is the catch!
